Foods I Enjoyed In Trinidad

On my first morning in Trinidad, I had doubles for breakfast. Doubles is a Trinidadian street food.  At a party, I tried Hosein’s dhalpuri from their roti shop. Dhalpuri is a type of roti which is filled with seasoned yellow split peas grounded. It was the second Trinidadian food I tried. One of my personal favourites is Trinidadian KFC. This KFC is located at Independence Square in Port-Of-Spain.  It earns the most money out of every KFC in the world. Many YouTubers and streamers have ranked it as the best.

Snacks I Enjoyed in Trinidad

Some of the snacks I tried in Trinidad and loved were the chip brand Olé, Sunshine Snacks popcorn, KC dinner mints and Kiss cake. One night, my family and I went out to Trincity Mall and got Little Caesars Pizza. It is one of the best pizzas I have ever tasted. Another evening, we went to West Mall near the city and over there I tried Burger King in Trinidad, and it was one of the best fast foods I have ever tasted. One Tuesday afternoon, we went to Movie Towne. We all walked around a little bit and I tried Popeye’s Chicken for the first time. I ordered chips, nuggets and some fizzy sorrel.

When we went to PriceSmart to purchase some snacks to carry back to the UK, I saw a big pack of crisps. My Mum bought it to take back. In the store, I saw a PlayStation 5 (PS5) but Mum said I was not allowed to touch it. As we came out the store, I could smell the humidity in the air.

Overall, Trinidad has great food and great weather.  The airport and city are very well developed. I cannot wait to go back to try some more foods!
